Question 1

What is TutorDeck Online?

Accepted Answer

TutorDeck Online is a verified tutoring marketplace for Pakistan. Parents and students search for a tutor by board, grade, and subject, book live 1-on-1 online classes, and pay through an escrow-protected system that only releases money to the tutor after each class is actually completed.

Question 2

How is TutorDeck Online different from a regular tuition academy?

Accepted Answer

There's no group classroom and no walk-in centre. Every tutor is individually CNIC-verified before they're allowed to list, every class is 1-on-1 and scheduled around your child's own availability, and payment is held in escrow rather than paid upfront in cash — so you're not paying for classes that haven't happened yet.

Question 3

Which cities does TutorDeck Online cover?

Accepted Answer

Because every class is conducted online, there's no city restriction — you can book a tutor whether you're in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, or anywhere else across Pakistan's provinces, including Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Question 4

Do I need a computer, or can I use a phone?

Accepted Answer

The platform is mobile-friendly and works from a phone browser for browsing, booking, and messaging. For the live class itself, any device that can run Microsoft Teams (phone, tablet, or computer) works.

Question 5

Is online tutoring actually as effective as in-person home tuition?

Accepted Answer

For 1-on-1 instruction, the core of what makes tutoring work — a qualified tutor giving a single student their full attention, on a fixed weekly schedule, tracking exactly what topic was covered each session — carries over directly to a live online class. What online tutoring removes is commute time and travel risk for both the tutor and your child, and it opens access to verified tutors outside your immediate neighbourhood rather than limiting you to whoever happens to live nearby.

Question 6

Is it safe for my child to take classes from a tutor found online?

Accepted Answer

Every tutor on TutorDeck Online is individually CNIC-verified and academically vetted by an admin before they're ever allowed to appear in search results — none are unvetted signups. Classes also happen on a real, traceable platform (Microsoft Teams, one unique link per session) rather than an untracked phone call, and you can read that specific tutor's reviews from other verified students before you ever book them.

Question 7

How are tutors verified before they can teach?

Accepted Answer

Every tutor applicant submits their CNIC, academic degree, and highest qualification for review. An admin reviews these documents before the tutor is auto-approved and listed publicly — a tutor never appears in search results or on the platform until this review is complete.

Question 8

What does the "CNIC-Verified" badge actually mean?

Accepted Answer

It means that specific tutor's national identity card and academic documents have been checked and approved by TutorDeck Online's admin team before they were allowed to list. Tutors also have an optional phone-verified badge if their contact number has been confirmed.

Question 9

Can I read reviews from other parents before booking a tutor?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every tutor's public profile shows their overall star rating, total review count, and full text reviews left by verified students after a completed class — reviews are anonymized (shown as "Verified Student") rather than showing a reviewer's name, to protect other families' privacy.

Question 10

What documents does a tutor need to submit to get verified?

Accepted Answer

A CNIC (front and back), an academic degree, and their highest qualification details, plus an optional phone verification step. An admin reviews all of it before a tutor is approved and allowed to appear in search — this happens before your child ever meets them, not after a complaint.

Question 11

What happens if I have a problem with a tutor or a class?

Accepted Answer

Message support with the tutor's name and the approximate session date. Because every class is a specific, timestamped record in the system — not just a verbal booking — we can check exactly what happened (whether it ran, was missed, or is disputed) and act on it, including holding or releasing the relevant escrow payment.

Question 12

Which curricula and boards does TutorDeck Online support?

Accepted Answer

Primary and Middle school (Grades 1–8, Single National Curriculum), Matriculation (SSC 9th–10th), Intermediate Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering (FSc), ICS, I.Com, O-Level/IGCSE, and A-Level — including Cambridge (CAIE), Edexcel/Pearson, FBISE Islamabad, and every major BISE board across Pakistan.

Question 13

Can I find a tutor specifically for Cambridge O-Level or A-Level?

Accepted Answer

Yes — when you search, you pick the exact curriculum (O-Level/IGCSE or A-Level) and grade (O1–O3, or AS/A2), and results are matched to tutors who teach that exact combination, not just the subject name in general.

Question 14

Does TutorDeck Online cover younger grades, not just Matric and above?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Grades 1 through 8 under the Single National Curriculum are supported, covering Mathematics, English, Urdu, Science, Islamiyat, Social Studies, and Computer Science.

Question 15

What if my child needs a subject combination that isn't listed?

Accepted Answer

Search by curriculum and grade first, since most subject combinations already have a tutor — the platform covers Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, Accounting, Economics, and more across every curriculum. If you genuinely can't find a match, message support and we'll help you find the closest available tutor.

Question 16

How much does a tutor cost?

Accepted Answer

Each tutor sets their own per-session rate, with a platform-enforced minimum of PKR 800 per 40-minute class — roughly PKR 1,200/hour at the floor rate. Rates vary above that by qualification, subject, and experience, and you'll see the exact rate on every tutor's profile before you book, with no hidden fees added at checkout.

Question 17

How does TutorDeck Online's pricing compare to a traditional home tutor?

Accepted Answer

A traditional home tutor's fee usually also covers their commute time and is paid upfront, often monthly in cash, regardless of how many sessions actually happened. On TutorDeck Online, PKR 800/session (about PKR 1,200/hour) is the floor, you pay through escrow rather than handing over cash in advance, and money is only released to the tutor per completed class.

Question 18

What subscription plans are available?

Accepted Answer

You choose how many days a week you want classes: 2 days/week (8 sessions/month), 3 days/week (12 sessions/month), or 5 days/week (20 sessions/month) — then pick the specific weekly time slots from the tutor's open availability.

Question 19

How long is each class?

Accepted Answer

Every live class is 40 minutes, scheduled at a fixed weekly time slot you choose during checkout.

Question 20

Is there a free trial or demo class?

Accepted Answer

There's no platform-wide free trial today. The lowest plan is 2 sessions a week (8/month) at the tutor's per-session rate, so the smallest realistic commitment is a small handful of paid sessions — not a full monthly fee upfront — which functions as a low-cost way to try a tutor before committing to more.

Question 21

How does payment actually work — do I pay the tutor directly?

Accepted Answer

No. You pay TutorDeck Online, and that payment is held in escrow (marked "HELD") rather than paid to the tutor upfront. As each individual 40-minute class is completed, that portion is released to the tutor — so you're never paying in full for classes that haven't happened yet.

Question 22

What payment methods are accepted?

Accepted Answer

Bank transfer is available today — you'll see TutorDeck Online's bank account details at checkout, and your subscription activates once the transfer is confirmed by our team, usually within one business day. JazzCash, Easypaisa, and debit/credit card payments are on our roadmap and will let you pay instantly once live.

Question 23

Is my money safe if a tutor doesn't show up?

Accepted Answer

Yes — because payment is only released per completed session, a missed class simply doesn't get paid out to the tutor. Contact support if a session didn't happen as scheduled so we can review it and make sure you're not charged for it.

Question 24

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Refunds are handled by our support team on a case-by-case basis — since money is held in escrow rather than paid out immediately, unused or disputed session funds can be reviewed and refunded rather than being already gone.

Question 25

What percentage does TutorDeck Online take from tutors?

Accepted Answer

There's no percentage cut taken out of a tutor's own rate. Each tutor sets the rate they want to receive per session, and the price shown to families is that rate plus a 30% platform margin on top — so a tutor requesting PKR 1,000/session is published at PKR 1,300/session, and receives their full PKR 1,000 for every completed class.

Question 26

What platform are live classes held on?

Accepted Answer

Classes run on Microsoft Teams — a unique, auto-generated meeting link is created for every single scheduled session and made available to both the student and the tutor, so there's never a shared or reused link.

Question 27

Do I need to install anything to join a class?

Accepted Answer

You can join a Teams meeting directly from a web browser without installing the desktop app, on both computer and mobile.

Question 28

What if I miss a class or need to reschedule?

Accepted Answer

Message your tutor directly through the platform as early as possible — each class is a fixed weekly slot tied to your subscription, so moving a specific session is arranged directly with your tutor rather than through an automated reschedule button today. A missed session that never happens simply doesn't get paid out from escrow either way.

Question 29

Can parents monitor how a session actually went?

Accepted Answer

Yes — tutors record what topics were covered after each class, viewable in your parent dashboard's session history, alongside the attendance status (completed, missed by student, or missed by tutor) for every scheduled class.

Question 30

Can I track my child's academic progress on the platform?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the parent dashboard includes a progress summary that flags when a student needs attention, based on real signals like attendance and homework completion, not just a generic placeholder.

Question 31

Does TutorDeck Online include homework?

Accepted Answer

Yes — tutors can assign homework tied to a specific class, and students/parents see and complete it directly through the platform rather than over WhatsApp or email.

Question 32

Can one account manage more than one child?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a single parent account supports multiple children, each with their own subscriptions, tutors, and session history, so you don't need a separate login per child.

Question 33

How do I become a tutor on TutorDeck Online?

Accepted Answer

Submit the "Become a Tutor" application with your qualification, subjects, and experience. If it's a match, our team sends a private link to a full registration form where you submit CNIC, degree, and other verification documents for admin review before you're approved and listed.

Question 34

What's the minimum I can charge per session?

Accepted Answer

You request your own rate during verification — the platform-enforced floor is PKR 615.39/session, since that's the lowest requested rate that still clears the PKR 800 published-price floor shown to families (your requested rate plus a 30% margin). You can set your own rate above that based on your subject, qualification, and experience, and you can update it any time from your dashboard.

Question 35

How and when do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

You receive your full requested rate — not a percentage split — for every class, held in escrow and released once that specific session is marked completed. The published price families see already includes TutorDeck Online's 30% margin on top of your rate, so there's no additional commission taken out of what you asked for. Released funds are then processed as a payout to your bank account or mobile wallet by our team.

Question 36

Can I control my own teaching schedule?

Accepted Answer

Yes — you set your own weekly availability grid, and students can only book time slots you've actually opened up, so you decide how many hours and which days you teach.

Question 37

How much can a tutor realistically earn on TutorDeck Online?

Accepted Answer

It scales directly with your requested rate and how many weekly slots you fill — and since you receive your full requested rate per class, the math is simple. At a requested rate of PKR 1,000/session (published to families at PKR 1,300) with a single student on a 5-day/week plan, that's 20 sessions/month — PKR 20,000/month from one student, in full. Most tutors take on several students at once, and qualified tutors in high-demand subjects (like O/A-Level Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics) typically request rates well above the floor.

Question 38

How do I contact support?

Accepted Answer

The fastest way is WhatsApp at +92 321 4336616 — tap the WhatsApp button on any page. You can also use the in-platform messaging available from your parent or teacher dashboard once you're logged in. Issues tied to a specific booking or session get resolved fastest when you mention the tutor's name and the approximate class date, since every session is a traceable record we can look up directly.

Question 39

Is my personal data safe on TutorDeck Online?

Accepted Answer

Sensitive tutor verification data (CNIC, date of birth, documents) is never shown publicly — it's restricted to the tutor themselves and platform admins. All actions on sensitive data (approvals, account suspensions, video-integration changes) are recorded in an internal audit log for accountability.
